Social networking platform giant Twitter experienced a global service outage, including India, on Saturday, 17th April at two subsequent times of the day, once in the morning and then in the evening.
Worldwide Twitter outage and issues:
Even though the effects of the Twitter outage were experienced by users from all over the globe, little is known about the cause of the issue.
Detailing the effects of the service outage, Twitter users were unable to access their Twitter accounts and were having their sessions abruptly logged out.
The message “Something went wrong – it’s not your fault. Let’s try again.” was addressed to the users while throwing an error.
Users also reported several other difficulties like not being able to search for terms, not being able to tweet, failing to load tweets, and more.

The morning debacle of the Twitter outage had reported started around 6 AM IST and about 40,000 users had reported the issue from all spring the globe, according to DownDetector.
Subsequently, the evening round of the outage, that stated around 5.20 PM IST, saw issue reported from at least 9,000 global user and more than 1,000 Indian users.
Investigating and addressing:
It is not known as to what caused the outage, but Twitter said that it is working on fixing the problem and users will be back on their timelines soon.
“We know that parts of Twitter still aren’t working for some of you. We’re fixing an issue with our servers to get things back to normal soon. Thanks for sticking with us,” Twitter addressed via its Twitter Support handle on Saturday.
The issues don’t seem to be fixed completely yet. While some users online said that they faced issues with the platform for several minutes, some are still reporting issues, more than 24 hours after the first outage on Saturday.
